Going to Belgium
Belgium belongs to the Schengen-area, as do the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and
Sweden, Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
All information about visa can be consulted on the website of the Ministry of the Interior. This website is presently only available in Dutch and French but in the near future it will be available in English as well.
A. Short term stay (less than 90 days)
- Taiwanese passport:
Citizens who hold a Taiwanese passport with their ID-number can travel for short-term stays ( maximum of 90 days within a 6-month period) to the Schengen-area without visa.
However, travellers may still be asked to present one or more of the following documents: a hotel reservation, return ticket or some form of proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your visit. (cash, cheques or credit cards that are accepted in Belgium or an original financial support certificate)
